Eubie Blake was a critical figure in African-American music and one whose long career made him a permanent character of the history of ragtime and early jazz music and culture. Jazz has influenced many genres of music today most notably Hip hop. Because of this influence, I decided to re-present Eubie Blake through the lens of music today.
